Victoria has been a physiotherapist for 19 years, gaining a broad knowledge of musculo-skeletal therapy for injuries related to work, sport, exercise, or hobbies, and general age changes. For the past 10 years Victoria has provided post-operative orthopaedic and gynaecology care, and musculoskeletal physiotherapy. During six years as head of the physiotherapy department, Victoria introduced a women’s health service and led a hospital-wide project to introduce day-case joint replacement surgery. Victoria developed a holistic approach to patient care and values the understanding of the impact of emotional wellbeing and lifestyle factors on maximising physical wellness. Victoria has maintained a particular interest in women’s health and strongly feels that there is a need for healthcare provision to catch-up with women’s lifestyles- their hobbies, responsibilities and working lives. Victoria has found that having experience within different specialities of physiotherapy has helped to create a broad picture of how to support women through all stages of their lives. Victoria is now focusing on the area in private practice to help women to achieve their goals through any stage of life, whether that’s optimising daily comfort, or running a marathon.
